Buddy PrograM

Every Foundation (Prep) child forms a very special friendship with a Level 6 buddy who will take care of them throughout their Foundation year but especially as they begin their school experience.

The buddies regularly enjoy activities together such as the ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’. Your child will meet their buddy at their last transition session. This is a very special time when our senior students present their buddies with their ‘buddy bags’ – a bag filled with special things that the Level 6 students have made for them. 

Having a buddy is one of the highlights of being in Level 6 and our students do a wonderful job of ensuring our Foundation students (Preps) are safe and happy at school.

Wonga Park Primary School acknowledges the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land where we gather, learn and play. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging who have looked after Country for over 65,000 years.
